Mood Board: Film Opener 

 

I am trying to capture in my mood board that it will be an instrumental movie, a movie based on the power of dedication to future of success. 

Final Decision

 

After viewing the videos we have decided... 

to keep our decision we had before a biography on a drummer chasing his dream. 

I am really excited about how we can make this turn out because I will have a lot of commitment with my team having skills and experience. On the other hand, really worried on how some parts will be done and if we can use adv. cameras to help us out with our photo taking.

 Group Member Brainstorming

Intro:

1- A Man goes out to the field to practice his soccer in his flow state (listening to music) for a team and seems to be a recruiter seems to watch him while he plays being fascinated on what he could be. After the park the man gets all ready up to leave and the recruiter is at his car waiting for him. 

2- A 2-minute clip on how she runs away from her one and only life she knows because her mother had found out she had a girlfriend on her 18 birthday. Then someone begins to comfort her and send her letters for next 5 years. 

3- A very fast paced clip on a group of young adults looking for a key from a dare or to lose it all and they can possibly win 1000$; they drive to an area with loud music camera seems handheld and crazy, but after they open the trunk, and all run away in fear with a slight scream.  

4- A opener to a stalker who had a best friend where he used to have an obsession with his life and tried to take it all away from him to become the image of him, which now ahead of time he seems to be talking to a therapist about this story and to which that time he still was in an obsession to take his friend life. 

5- Seems to be a crazy scientist with horror music to show emphasize him create a substance seemed to kill or mutate someone with him having patient with a number, meaning he could have multiple. A very dark area as well so difficult to see things except for when seeing the characters. 

Group member: Brainstorm

 My group which who are Shade Erickson, Xavier Pennyman, Samuel Saurez, Xavier Baptiste(me) and we all started from movie clips and then be based on that or based on a iconic parts for example a kid having problems in school, social life, economics, etc. We also though of the movie Whiplash because shade he is a very good drum player and we could use him in many parts, so we ended picking out that and grabbing and of course making changes to have our own unique and still symbolizing way of whiplas. 

Mood Board (Writing Section)

    The genre of the Pirates of the Caribbean is an Action/Adventure movie as well as the topic of the dead man chest is to have power of the seas from Davy Jones. This correlates with the theme of "The Dead Man's Chest." Captain Jack being lost of who he is and what he wants. One of the most important parts of this is how the compass can help provide information of what jacks wants, which indeed he has no idea of what he's achieving for, as well as another scene were jack wanted a bigger crew to give the souls to Davy Jones to get back is his former associate will turner.   

   The creation of the mood board is to show how the compass repeatedly is shown and how it can influence on Jack's story, for example when given the compasses to Will Turner future wife (Elizabeth Swann) it mixed to where she wanted to save herself and her husband to have beautiful life without the life of being a pirate, but then changed to wanting jack when looking for the chest on the little island that Davy Jones heart lays at rest in the chest. 

   Some conventions that the movies show to the theme of the Pirates of the Caribbean: dead man chest is mostly shown of the compasses were the compasses follows your true desire and where it seems to jack its broken because jack has no idea what he wants. This interests me in the view how most of the movie is where jack looks for the heart of a dead man's chest to rule the seas when the compasses show he has no desire of anything major.

The perception

My Thoughts  

 

When we had been assigned this assignment at first I wondered how we were going to do certain camera angles for example overhead shot or birds eye view, but then I was explained I could to it at home; yet having these difficult shot the over head shot wasn't has hard it seemed, so we did it and it of course could have been better, but my favorite one yet.  

 

An issue I had was that I was a bit rushed since my friend or partner had to leave early and I wouldn't be able to do the assignment and another issue we had is that all the pictures were from a phone, so some angles were very difficult 

Camera Angle Blog Post

This is a OTS of Roronoa Zoro a character from the One piece film. This is showing how he is powerless and weak against the fate of death against him. 

 

In the beginning you will see Galvatron in his truck state and they give a quick close up to emphasize his future importance when he begins to fight Optimus. 

In Top gun maverick In most of these shots there aerial shots to show speed and transitions to different                                                                                   scenes. 

 

In this song of logic- The Incredible True Story has you can see you get a multi shot with multiple people looking above the camera to show a new discovery a new era. 

 

In the movie creed 3 around 1:10 you can find a shake of the camera to show every time the boxer or subject gets punch to get a sense of what they feel and hear.
